The photography track walked the students through a challenging training process in the classroom and through mini field trips that included both technical and artistic aspects of photography. Students first learned how to use their camera’s manual settings -- shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focusing techniques and white balance. Once they had these aspects under their belt, they got a crash course in the artistic side -- how to use light, balance, lines, patterns, shapes, colors, cropping and final editing techniques to craft a pleasing composition. The photography track students absorbed a great deal of diverse information in a short period of time, and absolutely excelled at applying that information to achieve an artistic vision unique to each student.
